Dark Matter Detection in Space
نویسنده
چکیده
We live in interesting times: we know dark matter exists, and we now know how much. At the same time, we have very little idea what it is, other than that it can’t be any known particle. Cosmology therefore provides the longawaited quantitative evidence for new particle physics. The dark matter problem is arguably our strongest beacon, an unambiguous and fundamental, yet approachable, problem pointing us toward promising directions at the frontier. As with most frontiers, the dark matter landscape is populated by a variety of colorful characters: axions [1,2,3], neutralinos [4,5], Q balls [6], wimpzillas [7], axinos [8], self-interacting dark matter [9], fuzzy dark matter [10], annihilating dark matter [11], Kaluza-Klein dark matter [12,13], superWIMP dark matter [14,15], and many others. To bring some order to the following discussion, if not to the field, we therefore need a guiding principle.

Singlet scalar dark matter in noncommutative space
In this paper, we examine the singlet scalar dark matter annihilation to becoming the Standard Model particles in the non-commutative space. In the recent decades, many candidates of dark matter have been offered, but our information about the nature of dark matter is still limited. There are such particle candidates as scalar matetr, fermion, boson, gauge boson, etc.; however, they have nei...
متن کاملقیدهای تک Z روی مدل ماده تاریک فرمیونی با واسطه شبه اسکالر در LHC
In this research we study the Mono-Z signature along with dark matter production at the LHC in a renormalizable dark matter model. We look at processes with L+L-+MET in the final state. We simulate signal and background events at central mass energy 14 TeV We then evaluate the LHC sensitivities for some points in the model parameter space for two integrated luminosities L=100 fb-1 and L=1 ab-1 ...
متن کاملDirect Detection of Dark Matter with Space-based Laser Interferometers
Dark matter pervades the Solar System, free-streaming at the local Galactic orbital velocity of the halo with a space density of ∼ 9 × 10 gm cm. As these objects pass through the Solar system, they perturb gravitationally, and thus very weakly, all nearby inertial masses. Making use of this, we propose an approach to the direct detection of dark matter at previously inaccessible intermediate ma...
متن کاملAbout direct Dark Matter detection in Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model
Direct dark matter detection is considered in the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM). The effective neutralino-quark Lagrangian is obtained and event rates are calculated for the Ge isotope. Accelerator and cosmological constraints on the NMSSM parameter space are included. By means of scanning the parameter space at the Fermi scale we show that the lightest neutralino could ...
متن کاملLow energy antideuterons: shedding light on dark matter
Low energy antideuterons suffer a very low secondary and tertiary astrophysical background, while they can be abundantly synthesized in dark matter pair annihilations, therefore providing a privileged indirect dark matter detection technique. The recent publication of the first upper limit on the low energy antideuteron flux by the BESS Collaboration, a new evaluation of the standard astrophysi...
متن کاملLepton Portal dark matter
We study a class of simplified dark matter models in which dark matter couples directly with a mediator and a charged lepton. This class of Lepton Portal dark matter models has very rich phenomenology: it has loop generated dark matter electromagnetic moments that generate a direct detection signal; it contributes to indirect detection in the cosmic positron flux via dark matter annihilation; i...
